Three things top my agenda: defence collaboration as the US steps back and Russia's threat grows; protecting British manufacturers being locked out of Europe's new 'Made in Europe' industrial scheme; & reopening doors for young people through an ambitious youth experience scheme.
🇬🇧🇪🇺 People in Chelsea and Fulham are clear: Brexit has been a disaster.
I'm determined to play my part in putting things right.
Next week I'll be back in Brussels, meeting Members of the European Parliament as momentum builds on the UK-EU reset.
📉 Wait lists have fallen again by 43k in January - 374k in 18 months.
🚑 Fastest ambulance response in 5 years, down to less than 29 mins for heart attacks and stroke
🏥 A&E waits the shortest for four years despite a hugely demanding winter
Lots done, lots more to do.
I'm pleased this is on the government's radar, and I’ll keep on their case so every child and their family feel supported.
In Parliament I've argued for five changes to fix NHS children's palliative care. Access to 24/7 care. Filling workforce gaps. Good neonatal support. Involving patient groups. And protecting England's 80 highly specialist services.
If you're one of the 99,000 children in the UK living with life-limiting conditions, it's shocking you may not get the palliative care you need. While children's hospices are irreplaceable, they aren’t everywhere - so most people turn to the NHS for support, which can be patchy.
Huge congratulations to Gauri Nafrey, owner of brilliant Bridge Baker in Fulham, named Business Woman of the Year at SME London Business Awards.
Hugely deserved recognition for entrepreneur whose craft and local commitment have made her bakeries go-to places for the community.
Schools will have to carry spare auto-injectors, train staff, have dedicated safety policies and give children with allergies Individual Healthcare Plans.
Every child deserves to be safe at school – proud our government is doing this.
Brilliant news today – Benedict's Law will bring stronger allergy protections to schools from Sept 2026. Huge win for campaigners, especially Natasha Allergy & Research Foundation founded by Fulham residents Tanya & Nadim, whose Allergy School is transforming safety for children with food allergies.
With the US retreating from Europe, Russia a growing threat and the hard right gaining ground, I welcome the UK & Germany moving closer together – in deeds, not just words. Defence, economy, energy, education, more. 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 Vorsprung durch Freundschaft! My remarks in Parliament.
Visiting the UK's first Rare Diseases Centre at St Thomas’ Hospital for #RareDiseaseDay2026. The "carousel" clinic - all specialists in one visit - is brilliant. But with NHS England restructuring, 70+ vital rare disease services need protection. I'll keep pushing in Parliament.
Families of children with SEND have battled too long, so govt's new ISPs must be a genuine entitlement. I asked the Education Sec: what if a school ignores a child's plan? Please respond to the consultation and help shape what govt does.

That means calling out racism at the top of the game - including Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s deeply divisive comments about immigration, which brought football into disrepute. I’ve joined over 100 MPs demanding the FA do better. Read our letter here.
Chelsea’s Wesley Fofana is one of our own - and the racist abuse targeting him and other Premier League players is completely unacceptable, just as the vile abuse Lioness Jess Carter faced last summer was. Social media companies must act, but the FA needs to show leadership, too.
The government's child online safety consultation is now live – and I want Chelsea & Fulham's voice in it. Social media. Gaming platforms. AI chatbots. Doom-scrolling algorithms. Night-time curfews. All on the table.

Great to meet parents preparing for an iftar at Thomas’ Academy, Fulham today – a wonderful, inclusive school bringing together families and community organisations. Wishing everyone a warm and joyful evening.
Brexit has cost us £90 billion a year in lost tax revenue - money we desperately need for our NHS, schools & police. 6/10 people who voted Leave now want a closer relationship with the EU. It's time to repair the damage and put Brexit right for Chelsea and Fulham and the whole country.
Bills falling by £117 from April — real relief for families. Funding insulation levies through progressive taxation means costs are more fairly shared. Now let's ensure everyone in fuel poverty gets the high-quality retrofitting support they need to keep bills down.
Real hope SEND reforms will ease disabled children and families’ fight for support. 1 million children with new individual plans, £3.6 billion investment & EHCPs retained. Questions remain – enforcement, legal teeth, definition of complex needs. I'll keep backing children and families.
34 children infected in a North London measles outbreak. The UK has lost its elimination status. I've been pushing vaccination in pharmacies for years - I challenged NHS vaccination chiefs to act. They deflected, promised to "get back to me." Meanwhile, measles spreads.
Sad to see ideology driving Reform's Richard Rice when he claims Erasmus+ & SAFE won't benefit the UK. Erasmus+ opens opportunities in Europe for working-class kids & apprentices. On SAFE, UK would sit with EU firms at €150bn defence procurement table. Jobs - not ideology.
Talking to schoolchildren is best part of this job. Every child in Chelsea and Fulham deserves a school that works for them - and government's new 10-year plan delivers. £700m to fix broken buildings, £300m to modernise classrooms and dedicated SEND spaces in every secondary 🏫.
A pleasure to speak with @chelfulhamben.bsky.social at #Lab25 about the future of cancer research and care. Thanks for visiting our stand!
A lot of fun opening and being a judge yesterday at the BTRC Dog Show on Parsons Green in aid of the Brain Tumour Research Campaign. Wonderful dogs, proud owners, all brought together by dedicated volunteers for a great Fulham day.
