Today’s bug fact of the day is about the Praying Mantis!
The praying mantis has a pseudopupil or false pupil. Basically, the bigger, more prominent, eyes have cones inside that absorb light in your direction, being black. This gives the illusion of a pupil that follows you everywhere.
