Most of my friends also got laid off from their adjacent jobs. guess I should be grateful that I'm not in a similar boat 🙏 although who knows -- my current job is adjacent to government-adjacent work, so my area could be the next to get cuts

which is SUCH bullshit. i’m usually good about making sure key words are in my resume/cover letter, but I can’t say i’m like qualified in a certain computer program if I’m not? but I could learn it quickly!!! whatever happened to on the job training?

it is annoying because if they just gave me an interview I probably could’ve proved that I’m a good investment for this role!!!! ah well

well, I applied for a job I was in no way qualified for. and, as expected, my application was rejected. which like, obviously. but still :(

I listed out the 5 projects that got added to my workload this week, on top of the other high priority stuff Im working on, all w basically the same deadline & my boss goes “yes. what’s your question?” 😭😭 and all I could do was like “I just to make sure we’re all on the same page about this is all”

every day at work this week has been like “here’s a surprise, high priority project that’s due in 4 weeks. No, we don’t have the content for it. No, there’s no wiggle room on the deadline. Yes, we’re heading into peak hurricane season. why are you crying.”
