Highly unusual situation approaching western Colorado with the moisture from Hurricane Priscilla. Grand Junction has never had precipitable water over an inch (25mm) so late in the year, but looks like it will be near that level on both Fri & Sat. Six standard deviations above average! #cowx 1/2

A complaint about work-life balance/boundaries: dislike a world that "demands higher security and 2 step authentication" b/c it involves my personal device. Work doesn't supply a cell phone, but it's necessary for these steps. So, to my personal life codes go and down at my phone I look 👎

Not a normal post for me, but wanted to call out King Soopers/Kroger for this business model; it really irks me. This cheese has always been $2.99. This "price drop" is on a price higher than I've ever seen. Food is going up in cost, sure, but company is taking advantage of marketing. Be advised.

My confidence in these outlooks is never super very high, especially with the size of this week’s H pressure ridge, but right now hope is kind of all we have out here. Fingers and toes crossed.

Well, despite water falling from the sky on 20 out of 31 days in July, #Boulder only recorded 1.00" of total rain during the month, about 50% of normal. This was the driest July in 525,000 minutes (i.e. one year). Yes it was much drier last July in 2024... #cowx

66° dew at 1a this morning = almost equal to Dallas/Austin. Wild!

The “newer” use of the pulsing warning polygons where they use important term “catastrophic” for very extreme, high impact/deadly events is great. Pairing with calls/texts would be 🙌 Last night’s text/call was not unappreciated, but using that with the terminology in warning might be more useful.
