The #Saints were granted a roster exemption for international player Charlie Smyth.

Mickey Loomis says they're picking up the 5th-year option on Chris Olave, but not Trevor Penning.

Loomis talked about having all the picks from Rounds 1-4.

"I think we'll get good players in all of those spots."

Loomis mentioned that Kellen Moore's philosophy is to build inside out.

Loomis says he feels like there are more defensive linemen than in most years and fewer corners than most years.

Loomis: "The structure of our defense is changing."

Said that's been a conversation since Brandon Staley has walked into the building.

Loomis: "I believe in our evaluation process. I believe in our grades."

Loomis: "Kellen and I have talked about draft philosophy and what he wants to get accomplished in year one."

Says that the feel like they're on the same page and aligned, calling it a 'fantastic experience'.

Loomis: "We're looking for as many good players, great players as we can find."

Says he thinks there's some depth in this draft that can help the roster.

Mickey Loomis says Derek Carr has an issue with his shoulder. "We're hoping to get some clarity on it in the near future."
