Mandatory child abuse reporting laws require certain professionals, known as mandated reporters, to report any known or suspected instances of child abuse or neglect to law enforcement or child protective services. These laws are in place to protect children, and failure to report can result in legal penalties. Mandated reporters are primarily those who have regular contact with children through their jobs, such as teachers, doctors, and social workers. Who is a mandated reporter? School employees: Teachers, administrators, counselors, and even janitorial and cafeteria staff. Healthcare professionals: Doctors, nurses, dentists, and therapists. Social and government workers: Social workers, police officers, firefighters, and probation workers. Childcare providers: Those who work in childcare facilities, youth organizations, and camps. Other professionals: Clergy, foster parents, and employees of organizations like homeless shelters or domestic violence agencies who have contact with children.

It's funny how all the jobs the department of education is suddenly keen to reclassify are all mandated reporters for child abuse. It's like this administration is doing anything it can to actively hurt children at home and abroad.

this was years before the AI stuff was even on anyone’s radar- but once while visiting an aunt in south Texas she showed me a mockumentary on evidence of mermaids being real and had taken it seriously. I can’t imagine what’s going on at her place today with AI slop infiltrating everything
