We never knew how good we had it.
Proustian rush also at the name, though I don’t remember peas at Pizzetta Republic - maybe I’d gone by then - but I have spent a lifetime chasing the particular salty metallic tang of Latin Quarter’s garlic bread. I can almost taste it now, it was that pungent.
Our first flat was right at the end of the route and Paul stayed a few times I think. Putney/Barnes Common is a pop culture hotspot though… Bayldon, Bolan, and I think Whitaker’s Daleks novel relocated the TARDIS there for Chesterton’s first encounter?
Ah thank you Ian! We haven’t seen Paul for ages. Must rectify that. Hope you’re all well and good yourself also…
Ah, smashing. Can you get us a couple of those cream buns from the bakers?

When we made Biscuitland for C4, Jess told me how important it was to show her character at work, with the support she needed. It was also about what it's like to have your whole life in the gift of these fucking bureaucrats. Jess, and thousands of others, need this support, and our support too.
“Fuck your single-sex spaces and fuck your Supreme Court. If I see you calling the police on a trans person in a public restroom I will personally flush your phone down the bog whilst pretending it’s Wes Streeting’s head.”
Many congratulations Steve! Art for art’s sake!
Ha! More of a castaway these days I think, like Captain Bligh perhaps…
Congratulations Steve!
I did a fair bit of work on this about 7 or 8 years ago. Still got a bookshelf of sources. The details and characters are amazing but as others have said, unless you’re Steven Knight, no-one wants to look at non-contemporary, sadly.
Ooooh! Yes! Congratulations!
