Last night’s Giants Dinner, hosted by the Floyd County Democratic Party (GA), was a fantastic event!

Keynote speaker Chuck Reese delivered a generous and thoughtful address, and we also heard from Elaina Beeman, Jason Esteves, Josh McLaurin, and Michelle Deatrick with the DNC.

We get this question a lot and I thought we should answer it for everyone. I have not taken support from America Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC) nor am I taking support from Council on American - Islamic Relations (CAIR). Keep the questions coming. I'll answer them all.

If you actually read the bills and thought about real people when you voted, including that so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” you cheered on, you’d know this already.

Now it’s important to you, but it’s still not what’s best for the people of this district.

You’re not just “hearing” from your constituents, you’re suffering from your own votes.

That includes a two state solution for Palestine and Israel, where the people of both countries can live together safely and prosperously.

My promise to you is that I will work tirelessly to achieve a level of global stability that will make America safer and allow us to lead again on the international stage.

This is important because I am one of the very few candidates or currently serving Members of Congress who have lived in the region and worked on extraordinarily complex issues within Israel and the Middle East. I speak the languages and understand the history.

As many of you know, I was posted to Israel as a Senior Defense Attache. I’m proud of my service to our country, and humbled that my commanders chose me to lead in some of the most challenging areas across the globe.

The genocide in Gaza is inexcusable. Whether you consider it a genocide, an ethic cleansing, or the killing of thousands of people, it needs to stop and all the hostages need to be returned home now.

A country’s leadership is not always reflective of its people; something the people of the United States are learning every day.

Most importantly I support the people of the region, both in Israel and Palestine, who want to work hard and live their lives in peace, and deserve better from their leaders.

Today marks the second anniversary of the October 7th terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas. It’s important that those of us who believe that leadership matters be clear about where we stand.

The vision and leadership he had for his local union membership led to the establishment of the Health and Welfare Trust Fund in 1973 and a supplemental pension 401(k) plan in 1983.

He participated in the first union sanctioned strike with the Atlanta Machine Workers. He was part of the strikes in then1980’s and 1990’s as well. Due to that struggle, he advanced a resolution at a national convention in 1968 to create a defense fund for his union.

(previously Graphic Communications International Union; previously Printing and Graphic Communications; previously Printing Specialties and Paper Products) he became president of his local by just one vote 1964. He participated in the first union sanctioned strike with the Atlanta Machine Workers.
