Early in the 20th century there was activity "down under" in New Zealand discussing capital-labor partnerships. This had some influence on Robert Brookings (of the Brookings Institution) which will be discussed in a later post on Brookings.

Here is a detailed description of Slovenia's new law on Cooperative-ESOPs (Employee Stock Ownership Plans). It is the first ESOP law in Europe. The basic structure could be used in most any country with cooperative and corporate laws.
