Day 1 Trump executive order raising drug prices

States sue to stop Trump's order blocking birthright citizenship Attorneys general from 18 states sued to block President Donald Trump’s move to end a decades-old immigration policy known as birthright citizenship guaranteeing that U.S.

Today, attorneys general from 18 states filed a lawsuit in Massachusetts to challenge Trump's decision to end birthright citizenship.

ACLU chapters in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts, along with other immigrant rights groups, also filed a lawsuit in federal court in New Hampshire.

Listening to a press call with @aclu.org and @lambdalegal.bsky.social right now, and the big takeaway: The trans executive order is not immediately enforceable. As federal agencies try to make rules enforcing this order, ACLU and Lambda plan to sue based on the rules, ways those rules are made, etc

There are now 3 lawsuits in federal courts against the birthright citizenship executive order:

1. ACLU suit in New Hampshire.
2. The 18 states + SF and DC suit filed in Massachusetts.
3. 4 state lawsuit (WA, IL, AZ, OR) filed in the Western District of Washington.
