Waves break along the lower margin, contrasting with the dark blue waters of the sea. Seaweeds colonize the lower reaches of the cliffs imparting a coppery hue. In the upper left distance are rubbly cliffs topped with a grassy barren hill. The pale blue sky above is remarkably clear. The rocks here form part of the Mistaken Point Formation of the Conception Group and at certain levels contain an astounding array of "soft-bodied" fossils representing the oldest large, architecturally complex organisms known. https://www.gov.nl.ca/ecc/natural-areas/wer/r-mpe/
