The 'side' content is more managable to digest lore wise and ends up with some really good short stories, properly equips the player with tools they need and by time they are done players are pretty much ready to experience the larger story and content elelements. It's just more fun that way.

Honestly after the past two streams I'm kinda glad you ended up playing the game how you did: The side stories are a better way to experience the game if the 'always talking faces' overwhelm people in what's now the 'MSQ'.
