the video game peak is nothing like climbing a mountain because in peak you just sit comfy with your tablet or phone and press buttons and drag your finger across the screen while happy sounds play and you watch cute animations and bright colors move and pop and maybe you feel proud when you win a level and maybe you feel annoyed when you lose but you can just start over and try again anytime with no real trouble or pain or danger but climbing a mountain is not like that at all because first you have to wake up very early maybe even before the sun comes up and get dressed in heavy clothes like thick socks and strong boots and warm gloves and jackets then you have to check your backpack to make sure you have all the things like food water flashlight rope maps first aid kit and other gear and then you start walking and the walk is not flat or easy it is full of rocks and bumps and cold wind and steep hills and slippery ice and sometimes you feel super tired and your feet hurt and your hands get freezing and the air gets thin so it is hard to breathe and you must drink water and eat snacks and keep going even when your legs say stop and your head says I want to go home but you don’t because you are brave and you want to reach the top and sometimes it gets dark and you have to set up your tent and make a fire and cook food and stay warm while animals make sounds in the woods and maybe rain or snow comes down and the path gets harder and you have to help your friends if they slip or cry or feel scared and you talk together and laugh a little and feel strong as a team and every step is real and matters and nobody can press a button to undo your fall or rewind the day and sometimes you see eagles or goats or clouds so big they look like oceans and you feel small but also huge inside and when you reach the top finally after many hours or days you feel something in your heart that is big and true and real and no video game can give you that feeling no matter how fun or cool …
