Minnesota women’s soccer team takes strong stance against ICE: ‘It’s very real and very scary’
Minnesota Aurora has taken multiple actions to oppose ICE in the Twin Cities and support its community.
“It’s a two-way road. We have a community that supports our soccer team, and we have a soccer team that supports our community.”

I wrote about solidarity and soccer as @mnaurorafc.bsky.social puts community first under occupation by ICE.

KC has some very good veteran midfielders, but none of them are the profile to replace Hutton's output on all fronts.
If you look at this deal from KC's perspective, it's Hutton for Bethune + 100k...but it's also removing a cog from a record-setting defense that they do not have a replacement for.

I'm not privy to every moving part in a deal like this, I'm not sure I would want another contender to get a player of Bethune's quality.
Bethune feeding Chawinga could change the earth's tilt, we could be talking about a globe-altering situation here.

Extending Sonia and getting rid of Paul is a CHOICE! Gonna be hilarious when we whiff on every player in the summer and we can't blame him anymore.

Ukraine skeleton racer wears helmet with images of people killed in war
Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych wears a helmet with images of people killed in the war in his home country during a Winter Olympics training session in Cortina.
""Some of them were my friends," said Heraskevych, who was Ukraine's flagbearer in the opening ceremony. [] The 26-year-old said the International Olympic Committee had contacted Ukraine's Olympic Committee over the helmet."

boring football, terrible recruitment, zero pull, no one developing or performing at their best under her, and a rival just blew them out 5-1. i’m gonna throw a bus at the moon.

Crestfallen and f$&@ furious about the closure as we know it of @postsports.bsky.social by an indifferent, compromised owner and a failing publisher — a dept of Povich and Boswell, Wilbon and Kornheiser, Gildea and Sheinin, of poets, authors, Hall of Famers and Pulitzer finalists. A terrible day.

I opened my phone after I finished presenting at a conference and audibly gasped. People were asking me what happened and if everything was okay. In these trying times, I had to explain that one of my favorite soccer players was retiring to reassure her that it wasn't WWIII.

Part of Washington’s bid to retain Rodman included doing an internal analysis on revenue she brings the club every year in order to make a fair offer, and while they didn’t disclose a number safe to say it was, a lot

Crystal Dunn is one of the best USWNT players of all time but she also might genuinely be THE best NWSL player of all time

Crystal Dunn's f**k you season is one of the greatest things I've seen in women's soccer. Just an absolute delight driven by her individual brilliance. But also, she should have two World Cups.

As the NWSL scrambled to find a way to keep Rodman in a league-created fiasco, it became increasingly clear that Rodman wanted to stay with the Spirit, which made the NWSL's inability to get out of its own way that much more confounding.

Since adding Sugita in September, Angel City has also added Borges, Lageyre, and Suarez to a midfield that already included Fuller, Martin, and Maiara (not to mention Shores can also play there).
In any case Hodge is going to be a very good fit for Louisville.

Said it on here & in Take-Offs past: I'm a fan of Prince's play without the ball, & her ability to playmake from the front line. She's not a 9/winger attacking space, but rather someone you find to feet.
Just, with Ella Stevens fitting the same profile, wondering how Boston wants to operate.
