Patients undergoing liver and pancreas surgeries have increased risk of thrombosis. 🏥

This study investigates which clotting pathways are activated - and it looks like the intrinsic pathway could be a key player!

Sharing this resource I made for my trainees.

Many of us can convert mM to pM with ease, but undergrads, summer students, and even rotation students need some help learning the units.

I'm hoping this guide helps them confidently and independently make accurate solutions and dilutions.

Sickle Cell Disease is a complex vascular disease. 🩸 🧠

This Research Letter investigates the incidence and impact of thrombotic microangiopathic anemia in patients with SCD.

Currently using ChatGPT to learn how to install an AI paper summarizing tool, but running into problems because I DO NOT DO CODING, and this thing is telling me I need a compiler and I think maybe I died driving to work today because this is my version of hell.

I’ve had Feb 20 on my calendar since I submitted an R01 application on October 5. Today I learned that the study section is now “postponed.”

The past 3 weeks have been so hard, sad, and scary, and now I don’t even know what’s next.

I had to read a Billboard article about it and then have ChatGPT explain it to me “like a millennial white girl” to truly understand it.

I faint from whole blood donations but platelet donations don’t affect me at all, so I have shifted my focus. It is just hard to find the time, it takes me about 1.5-2 hours.
