7/ La (triste) respuesta: Turquía no solo importa para el combate democrático. Seguridad, Rusia, Siria, migración… Partidas que se juegan simultáneamente y el gobierno turco hace valer sus cartas.

6/ Si esta batalla es tan importante, ¿por qué reaccionan tan tímidamente las democracias occidentales o incluso los líderes socialdemócratas?

5/ Imamoglu es el rival a batir. No solo porque es una alternativa real a Erdogan y los suyos, sino porque ha demostrado que puede ganar batallas incluso en circunstancias desfavorables.

4/ Sus calles han venido siendo escenario de protestas y resistencia ante intentos de distinto signo por capturar el poder. Además, el ejercicio del voto ha sido siempre un derecho sagrado. ¡Mirad la altísima participación!

3/ Estambul no es una ciudad cualquiera y Turquía es un país bisagra de gran peso geopolítico. Lo que ocurre allí tiene implicaciones mucho más allá de sus fronteras.

2/ Os propongo emplear un análisis multinivel inspirado en el pensamiento geopolítico de Yves Lacoste. Estambul ilustra lo que está pasando en el mundo, y las tendencias globales también marcan los ritmos y estrategias en Turquía.
