My assurance of heaven - closer every day - is so rooted in his prayer that we will be with him where he is. What a prayer. What a desire! He wants us with him forever. Astonishing. He loved us.
John 17 - so great! Jesus prays for the holiness of his people, the unity of his people, the protection of his people, the mission of his people, & the safe arrival of his people in glory. I have exactly zero confidence in our ability today but total confidence in Jesus' prayers.

When Christ called his first apostles they were "casting their nets" and "mending their nets" (Matt 4). Both casting and mending are the essential work of ministry - seeking to bring people to faith and seeing the broken and torn restored/equipped. Let’s grow churches doing both.

* Spiritual - “of the Spirit” (Ephesians 4)
* Personal - we can “dwell together in unity” in the household of God (Ps 133)

Looking at the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5, I can't help observing that any notion of holiness that makes us less loving, less kind, less joyful, less patient, less peaceful, etc. is, well... mistaken. Holiness is love on fire not condescension on ice.
Sometimes my prayers only get as far as
“Our Father”
And that is ok.

Prayer is not a utility plugged in to get our will done but an invitation to communion with God where we discover his will and give ourselves to his purpose.
“This do in remembrance” -said by One who never forgets his promise & watches over his word to do it. We are spiritual amnesiacs but he wont forget us or forsake us. His promise and purpose will stand forever.
