I remember that one from the news, and that many people missed the full impact because of the clouds. It’s a surreal experience.

If you have the chance to see a total solar eclipse, absolutely go for it! Getting to see one was such a magical experience. It’s hard to explain how emotional it is. A partial eclipse is nice, not even close.

The horse head creature I vaguely know is a Celtic legend. Is it popular in Belgium too? Or Breton?

(Hope you are having a lovely holiday)

Frustrating and disappointing. Is the government going to continue to shift more conservative or is this just a short detour?

They really are living in their own fantasy world.

I just read about Belgium’s new far right party. Fun times we are living in, all around.

Because she’s won easily in a district designed to favor the GOP against uninspiring opponents, she’s under the misguided impression that her wackado politics will appeal statewide. The best outcome is, after this, NY might finally be done with her.

I had the pleasure of being a test knitter for this project, which is now live. It’s a satisfying and speedy knit, so go make your own now, and wear the message proudly.

More details on Ravelry (friganti) soon.

You could do that, or continue on with your circular needles using the “magic loop” method. No need to purchase new needles, unless you are likely to use them for another project.

Button up cardigans got lots of use…they are perfect easy on/off layer for chilly weather.

Baby blankets are a commonly gifted item. They have their uses, but it’s easy to end up with more than is necessary.

It was a great pleasure to share my little corner of the world and to enjoy a day in your wonderful company! I’m happy to know you had a good and memorable trip.

Next time you’re back I’ll take you to the Adirondacks…now that you know how to pronounce it. 😄

Alternatively searching for “worked flat”, also under construction, will likewise yield many patterns suitable for straight needles. Both searches should work well, with some overlapping but different results.

The internet makes everyone experts.

It understandable what you are describing is disappointing. It’s also pretty universal. We look in more than we look out. Generally, unless talking about something they know personally, people should just shut up about it.

Is it like the number of Europeans who think they know everything about US politics and culture?

(Sorry. Sort of. Not really.)

We call this time of cooler weather “fake fall”. To be followed by second summer (when the temperatures briefly rise once again), before real autumn finally comes. Enjoy the lovely weather.

Her husband was gunned down by a firing squad, so having paranoia seems reasonable.

During a visit to Chapultepec Castle in Mexico City in the beginning of the year, I learned a little about her unhappy time in North America.

It was like this before the Jayane crowd came…now you’re all quiet, so I’m back to giving my attention to news headlines and depressing political commentary.

But I very much love (prefer) when people share real life stuff!

They are. The Breakers was built by the Vanderbilts and Rosecliff (the marble building) by a silver mining heiress. There are other mansions in Newport that I would have visited if I had more than a short one day to visit.

You could try getting bats or spiders.

Or putting infested items in the freezer.

I agree that an Option C should at least be explored.

On the morality scale, R also lied and dealt drugs, so M does get the better score there.
