DOS games could run on XP, provided it was a 32-bit version. I remember using VDMSound for Prince of Persia so it didn't use just the PC speaker, and it was regularly going faster for a few seconds, then slower again. But it did run. Also remember playing Tomb Raider 1 demos on that.

Not a PS player, but I remember reading somewhere that playing the PS4 version on the PS5 is very prone to crashes, and it's better to play the PS5 version.
And I remember thinking "why would people play the PS4 version on a PS5 if there's a native version?", so if I may: why?

Missed opportunity of showing the full scene with her smashing into that big lamp if you ask me 👀

She really liked this picture

One thing that puts me off though, is when there are multiple enemies and she suddenly switches to another target: it completely breaks muscle memory or whatever it is, because you're now moving differently than the frame before. But that happened just once to me, in Fury of the Beast.

It's way better: you can jump, and mostly: while she still moves around the enemy, she does it according to the direction you're pushing, not in a strange diagonal way, at least with a controller and modern controls (I haven't tried another control scheme).

A little behind the scenes look at the dinosaur mural in my TR level Hashep Oasis!

The mural was from an Ethiopian Orthodox Church, the dinos were drawn in a similar style and coloured in ProCreate on my iPad, then composited in PS to become the final texture.

Tbf, later copies of the game *officially* came "pirated". I got mine from a promo disc with Gillette, which had a demo and artworks from Sands of Time, and full PoP1 and PoP2, and there was no position screen even though it was mentioned in the manual.
PoP2 though still had its copy protection

This! Indeed, the actual animation in the classics is very unusual: ignoring the garbage frame in the middle, 2 of the 3 variations have a continuity error (ie. the pose suddenly switches to another one). But the idea of a 180° flip is definitely possible.
