some shapes being drawn by a program called FullScreenTerminal.exe (which is going to be an actual terminal emulator soon but currently is just a test app for libCoreGraphics). these shapes are drawn using a library called libCoreGraphics (not to be confused with MacOS/iOS CoreGraphics) by the program into the framebuffer via memory mapped I/O.

It's unfortunate there's no *good* YouTube competitor. They can get away with a LOT more abuse than anybody else. AI in moderation decisions should be outlawed, IMO, because it can't be held liable if it inevitably does a mistake that could cost someone potentially thousands of dollars.

Dear Linux users: Moving to Linux isn’t always the magical solution to fixing someone’s problems. Sometimes someone has to stay on windows because their proprietary software does not work on Linux. Before you just say “just use Linux lol” maybe stop for 3 microseconds and think about their needs.

The actual result after clicking the button is Windows opening a Bing search result page for "internet speed test". The results it produces are bogus, and were clearly generated by a language learning/artificial "intelligence" model.

the most recent Windows insider preview release added an internet speed test "button" to the Wi-Fi control center that actually just tells you to fucking Google it instead

So I wanted to make the NAND implementation in the iPod Touch QEMU fork using mmap, and it seems to work, until you realize, there is no Settings app! (but sometimes it does show up and I can't explain it)
