My teenager doesn’t give a shit about leaving the house. Her friends mostly socialize online. They all started middle school in the middle of Covid. I think there’s some causation there. There’s other factors but that’s a big one.

Every review of his I’ve read somehow turns into an indictment of Hollywood and wokeness. What a miserable way to live. Can’t even enjoy a movie without turning into a little bitch about everything.

I haven’t watched cable news since the election and I don’t miss it one bit.

I 100% get how you feel. I’ve had to stop talking to a few folks back home as well. Hate and ignorance are deal breakers for me as well. The worst part is that MAGA policies hurt rural supporters the most. Yet it doesn’t even register that they shoot themselves in the foot.

I’m seeing more people commenting on someone commenting that D’s should embrace Elmo than people who are actually saying that D’s should embrace Elmo. He has rendered himself unembraceable on a grand scale. I don’t think this idea has as much traction as you’re assuming it does.

Better to have this conversation now vs a few months before the general election. I agree w/Hogg that there needs to be a reckoning. The bad guys are winning. I don’t think there’s a good argument for maintaining status quo. Dem leadership is failing. I’m far from being a lefty agitator.

I don’t think David Hogg is wrong. 2024 was avoidable. Dems didn’t listen to their base. Leadership has grown increasingly out of touch. That said, we should be working together instead of taking cheap shots like “blue MAGA.” Just plays right into MAGA’s hands. Stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

He’s probably working harder than he’s ever worked in his life. Which isn’t saying much. HHS is probably on autopilot at the moment. That 20 hours a week looking busy got him looking like he’s about to die.

I grew up about 90 miles south of Cincinnati. It is 100% regional. It’s hard to find skyline or gold star chili outside of the region.
