Mr Polanski said that this “won’t be the last – I know there are many more weighting up their decision.”

Wales is nothing more than a ‘stepping stone’ to Downing Street for Nigel Farage and Caerphilly should be ‘very proud’ they sent him packing, the new leader of the Green Party has said ✍️ @emilypricejourno.bsky.social
The leader of the Wales Green Party, Anthony Slaughter, will tell party members this weekend that electing Greens to the Senedd would make the next Welsh Government ‘bolder’ and more determined to challenge vested interests
Great to hear London Labour MPs panicking about losing their seats to the Green Party.
For clarity, though - this goes way beyond just London.
Across England & Wales, we're saying lower bills, tax billionaires and we're ready to take on Reform.

The burning question I wanted to ask at PMQs today: why is the govt considering slashing funding to home insulation programmes as a short-term, short-sighted way to lower energy bills? Why not do the smart thing instead, and tax billionaires fairly?
I said yesterday that the chancellor was laying the ground for her budget as hard choices for everyone but the wealthiest.
And now the chancellor is reportedly going to cut vital funding for desperately needed home insulation to cut bills.
Zohran Mamdani focused on childcare costs to win the race for New York Mayor, and the UK needs to have the same conversation about how no-cost childcare could help more than just parents.

"I’m pleased Keir Starmer is going to COP — but Rosebank’s emissions are equivalent to 28 of the lowest-income countries combined, and this government still won’t rule it out.”
Zack Polanski calls for real leadership from the government ahead of #COP30.
"If the Chancellor is serious about plugging the gap in our finances, she must start by tackling our growing inequality, not deepening it."

Extremely early days and I will keep monitoring - but the first day of the congestion charge shows a signicant drop in traffic on St Clements (in my division).
My hot take on this its great that the journalist acknowledges that the Green Party is at record membership, record polling and has huge momentum.
But why say "dentally challenged?"
Who or what is that serving?
The state of journalism.
Pleased to join Transport and Environment in highlighting nonsensical escalation of the size & weight of vehicles on our roads.
They are calling for tax; I'd say we should ensure these vehicles are not standard on urban roads

Fair play to Plaid Cymru, David Chadwick (Lib Dem), Steve Witherdon and Gerald Jones (Labour) who voted against, but where’s the rest of Welsh Labour on this??
Farage's motion on leaving the European Convention on Human Rights failed: 154 votes to 96
All 4 @greenparty.org.uk MPs voted against it, because we believe international agreements on human rights are a good thing.
But only 63 out of 401 Labour MPs did:

Oh this is so cool! We actually have a Telraam near one of the congestion charge points - Oxford’s congestion charge started today and so we can see what happens to traffic in real time.

“Privatisation was the experiment — and it’s failed. We have water companies pumping sewage into our rivers and charging us extra for the privilege.”
Zack Polanski says it’s time to bring water back into public hands on #BBCPoliticsNorth.
The government are reportedly planning on moving some asylum seekers from hotels to military bases...
How about, rather than shipping a few hundred people off to military sites, we let asylum seekers work and contribute to our society and fix our broken asylum system? 🤔
When we said we don't intend to be concerned or disappointed by the Labour Government - we intend to replace them, we meant it.
Yougov have Labours lowest poll ever and Greens highest ever.
Keep going everybody.
