i wish it was common sense for most people to start with the first entry in a series it's so fun seeing how a series changes and evolves. but most people always complain about older games having unorthodox controls or "outdated" graphics. makes me so frustrated !!!

i think its like a 6/10 i just needed to get my thoughts out because i know too much. i think some of the problems in the story are partly due to the original scenario writer leaving mid development. just a pretty fascinating game with some interesting ideas that don't really go anywhere

Also it's mentioned that the senmeiju obeys commands via electromagnetic waves. Denpa stuff. this is mentioned like two times in the whole game. Midou & Iwakiri are supposedly being controlled but they clearly have self-agency so it doesnt really make sense. pic unrelated

my favorite characters were these two. Naturally. Reiko gets a crazy lesbian h scene but im not going to elaborate on that. Iwakiri also gets an h scene but its a bad ending. most of them happen because senmeiju-laced blood makes people go into heat. Obviously this happens because its an eroge

Semimaru's clone... Tsukuyo is apparently his granddaughter but it turns out that's not really true but it's not really elaborated on. He's behind everything and accidentally awakened Semimaru or something while trying to make himself immortal. Revealed in Takako's route only

Kiyomi's clone created by Toshiki Inukai. Inukai was one of the lead figures in the super soldier project and brought back Kiyomi from the dead using the Senmeiju (also thanks to Semimaru who gave Kiyomi some of his blood just after she had died from her illness). The real Kiyomi was taken back from Inukai by her younger brother Yuuji. Although she's immortal her mind didn't recover and she was left in a doll-like state. Inukai created a clone of Kiyomi using some of her DNA for some reason I think he really liked her and even mentions that the age gap means their relationship would never come to be. What a weirdo

theres a whole thing about clones (referred to using the term 覆製身 "fukuseishin") that doesnt really matter i think?... semimaru was seen as perfect so he was cloned but his clone was defective and doesnt have immortality. kiyomi has a clone. and tsukuyo is also a clone of kiyomi for some reason

i dont have much to say about the actual heroines but among the three main heroines (tsukuyo/takako/kiyomi) i think tsukuyo is the most fleshed out and pretty likable. kiyomi is semimaru's childhood lover and the actual true heroine but she doesn't get as many scenes

midou was created to overcome the weakness to the sun and is strongest during the day. iwakiri is specialized for water but is especially weak to sunlight and has to wear a coat. Mitsuoka is basically defective he just rapidly ages instead of being immortal. he's also semimaru's childhood friend

Semimaru gets attacked by his comrade and wants to find out why he's been awakened and why he's being targeted. semimaru and his former comrades all have an organism inside their blood named the senmeiju (仙命樹) that gives them enhanced senses and immortality but a weakness to sunlight and water

Sakagami Semimaru is the protagonist. Imperial Japanese super soldier who wakes up after a 50 year sleep. he's weird and funny. i liked the scenes where he still has to adjust to modern times
