Mayor Adams opposes MTA fare hike, but has fewer voices on agency board
Former Deputy Mayor Meera Joshi resigned in June from her post as one of the cityβs four MTA board members.
Meera Joshi stayed on the MTA board as an Adams appointee for months after she resigned from her deputy mayor post.
She finally left the board in June, days after the legislature went home, ensuring the mayor would have no way to replace her this year.
