i've been away from my phone more, making art, reading, and thinking mostly. trying to "detox" from my phone attachment is no joke, and the more i process the more i realize how conditioned we all are to one extent or another. it's a lot to unpack fr

when you are conditioned to see asking questions as bad, it trains you to go into a survival state mode at questions that challenge things you are taught are ABSOLUTE truth. it is harder to think critically in survival mode and this is where you get people who are smart, to fall into these traps

i know a lot of this is common sense to many, but when you are raised in reactive spaces these realizations can be reality-shattering. my mother still can't see the truth of many things because her religious truth will always take priority to her. they traumatize you on purpose to be afraid to learn

shame is used to encourage people to maintain these status quos. i saw it so much in especially church spaces where we were purposefully not taught the truth, and then when presented with the truth so many would get angry and defensive instead of hearing and learning. the ignorance is manufactured
