On the other hand, while Seimei is wary of Kidomaru, he still "pities" him. Well, he really pitied him when they were having the 1st fight (when they were small), but when he matured, that pity became sth more complex. Seimei always thinks Kido may not be like how he acts.

I love to think that they have a weird obsession with each other but they constantly deny it or try to cover it. Multiple times Kidomaru told Seimei that he was boring and yet right after that he told Tamamo no Mae that Seimei was skilled and deserved to be his prey.

Seimei seems to only care about finding his mother, but he rarely mentioned his father too... I doubt that his father is already dead. And maybe the Abe clan doesn't really approve his parents' marriage? That's why Seimei works as a Kamo clan's member instead of establishing anything about Abe clan

Toxic yaoi behaviours and I'm down bad for such things

They have been so on and off 😭 The way they greeted (flirtatiously), rolled eyes at each other, helped each other, and then proceeded to fight each other 😇

Thinking of it, Kido could have used his chains to kill Seimei back then, but he didn't. He used bare hands, which was much more intimate. Plus, Seimei could have ended Kido when he was "reborn" in Demon City - he was so vulnerable. But he didn't. Instead, he locked him up by a seal.

Ofc this is bcs it was told from Kido's perspective. He had the tendency to "villainize" himself.

It's true that he had his own reasons to kill those classmates, but he also "wanted" to kill Seimei (althought he fought like flirting - come on, he didn't even use his chains). Plus he had thought of the possibility that they were plotting against him, yet he still joined the "patrol".

That's why when Seimei pointed it out by saying "A blood-thirsty demon - Is this what you really are?", Kido was furious. He couldn't stand the fact that he was a traumatised kid. He didn't want to be the "weak" and receive pity.Despite all this, I must say Kido was not innocent or harmless at all!

Kido just hated and doubted himself alot without realising it at all. I'm no expert but he clearly showed signs of being mentally ill when being bullied in school. It also came from the way Tadayuki raised him - he made Kido think his demon side must be hid/ "killed". His true self was unacceptable.

The later, well, long story short, gave him hope and sense of family, and then shattered it by telling him "I knew this day would happen". Kido was already fking paranoid, and twisted sense of self - he thought of himself as the strong, but he always regarded to himself as "monster", "beast"-
