I believe it’s the adjuvant that affects some people strongly. I find the impact is quite different for everyone.
I’ve had a number of patients (unfortunately) affected like you were. Others reported few to no side effects.
My second dose I (luckily) had no side effects at all.

…& I have yet to encounter a severe reaction to a vaccine in one of them. Ever.

Everyone who confuses correlation with causation eventually ends up dead.
This is one reason why it drives me up a wall to see news outlets like @npr.org and @nytimes.com referring to RFK Jr. as a “vaccine skeptic.” He’s nothing of the sort. He’s been an antivax activist since *at least* 2005.
A common refrain I hear is:
The current children vaccine schedule has “too many vaccines, given too soon.”
The truth: current schedule, despite more vaccines, has a MUCH LOWER “immune burden” than previously.
