News on job losses @sainsburys.bsky.social and morrisons
today are IMO the start of more announcements from large employers esp in the retail and hospitality sectors I shared my thoughts with the bbc news earlier - the changes in morrisons people team shows we are in a workplace revolution

Anyone who went Xmas shopping in December either on line or in real life shops will be shaking their heads at all of this. I haven't seen the West End as busy in years and nearly all the grocers have turned in great numbers.

They do seem to have taken some shops I hear - totally agree about DIY on line but it creates a great sub brand in the range and an opp for new space too

Sad news about Homebase today but good to see the brand will stay on the retail park - fascinating to see how CDS will utilise their growing brand stable - I chatted toGordon Smart on Radio 5 this evening about it
