Fannie Lou Hamer would later be honored in the National Women's Hall of Fame and receive, posthumously, the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Joe Biden in January of 2025.

In a true display of intersectional activism, Scott King would later in life include LGBTQ+ activism, the Women's movement, economic relief, and opposition to apartheid in her activism work. Coretta is a powerful example of what commitment to empowerment, advancement, and equity looks like. (3/3)
