Today is a day of contrasts. While the UN issued a historic ruling ensuring that no girl should be forced into motherhood after sexual violence—setting a precedent for 170+ countries—the U.S. sees the return of Trump, bringing policies that roll back fundamental rights. #NiñasNoMadres

It’s also time for us to truly see which brands are genuine in their commitment to DEI. The ones that authentically promote societal change beyond economic results will grow stronger. The rest? They were just having fun changing their logo for International Women’s Day and Pride Month.

Meanwhile, Apple, where Bob Iger serves on the Board alongside Al Gore, has doubled down on its commitment to DEI. How fascinating would it be to know the dynamics of that Board meeting?

But these past few days, the news that Disney is moving away from the ‘woke agenda’ has taken over the conversation. Beyond the political pressure and public statements, I can’t help but wonder: what was that Board meeting like? What were the debates, the compromises, the trade-offs?

I recently finished Bob Iger’s The Ride of a Lifetime, and it left me reflecting on the power of leadership rooted in values like diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). His stories about navigating challenges while staying true to these principles are inspiring.
