I dig dismantling (aka "tearing down") & refurbishing gear. These projectors work hard to beam inages for us, so the least we can do is keep them dialed in. When pulling devices apart, I keep a chronological list of fasteners so that the rebuild goes smoothly. Geek out or go home.

Melted about .25 liters of a neighbor's honey into .55 liters of wort left over from the brewday. I let it boil lightly for about a half hour to kill off any bacteria or wild yeasts before adding directly to the ferm vessel.

This carboy was bubbling with high krausen right up to the airlock but is now mellow. I expect a rejuvenated fermentation after adding the extra fermentable sugars.... Shooting for a Belgian Honey IPA. Prost!

Just added honey to a 20L carboy. Most of the sugar in honey is fermentable, so adding it to the fermentation should kick up the ABV while adding sweetness. It's a high-gravity Belgian with a single hop (Taurus 17.3% AA) so the bitterness should balance out the honey. Curious how it will turn out!
