For example since Jeff Bezos retired. All the central planning at Amazon is done by Andy Jassy who is not a billionaire. While Bezos just chills on his massive yacht. Musk is a bit of an exception because he’s a power mad fascist who uses his billions to become CEO of twitter and so on.

The real capital allocation decisions aren’t made by billionaire investors like Warren Buffet, who just buy and sell shares and bonds. They are made by CEOs who actually do function a bit like commissars at the top of these massive bureaucracies.
