Clonehenge

I've never been to the real Stonehenge, but I did create this edible sculpture as a tribute.

Ooo, over here for that last one. Won't fit on my property though so please leave at the town park!

The lintels were made curved just the right amount to make a circle, and were fixed on the uprights with matching bumps and hollows. The resulting lintel circle was level on top, even though the circle was on uneven ground. It's a curiosity. Who did all this math and engineering there, at that time?

It's at least partly famous because it is the only known linteled circle from that era. Lots of stone circles but no others have lintels and especially with the extreme precision in the way they were originally placed. 1/2

Okay, I admit it, this does look like fun. And it's a much better #trilithon: the lintel fits to the uprights instead of going out past them! Always something we look for here at Clonehenge! ;-)

It's actually unclear whether the Black Sabbath #Stonehenge inspired the Spinal Tap one as is often alleged. The timing seems off. But look at this Stonehenge set anyway!

A brick entrance to a set of brick condominiums and in front of the brick wall is a line of 10 grey stone pedestals linked at the top by grey lintels. And on each grey pedestal there's an ornately shaped black letter, together spelling Stonehenge.

When we think of Kentucky and Stonehenge we tend to think of the famous #Stonehenge at Munfordville but here's Edgehenge: "Open daily dawn to dusk, fireworks each solstice and equinox"! Lovely quirky little thing. <3

It's certainly one of the most frequent kinds of foodhenge and maybe the most common small henge type right up there with Jenga and beach stones.

People do all of those now.! There's a shop called Roly's Fudge in Salisbury, UK that always has a fudgehenge in the window.
