i have NO maternal instincts (i have been described by friends as “cold” “stoic” and “unreadable”) yet i’m everybody’s “mom friend” because i’m the only person around who knows how to run a fucking household, host a dinner party, effectively handle a crisis, etc etc

i went to “homemakers school” as a kid and like yeah it sucked but every now and then i wish that everyone could have something like that minus the misogyny and religion
