interesting! all of my sex ed was in 8th grade (so year 9 - i think that’s high school for you but it’s middle school in the US). i had health class in 10th/year 11, but no sex stuff; it was mostly substance use, healthy eating, and physical activity
that sounds better than mine at least! i had sex ed at a large left-leaning city school while my husband was in a DEEP red county district, which makes it really baffling that his experience was so much better than mine 💀
my husband (same city, different school) got detailed anatomy and contraceptive information including the whole condom on a banana thing and several lessons on consent
i’m curious: what was y’all’s sex ed experience like? at school i got abstinence only with the scary STD photos and basic “anatomy” (clitoris not included); at home, my mom left a redacted version of “the care and keeping of you” on my bed. never got a sex talk
