I am a real person. My workplace has a very strict real-name social media policy, so I use this. United fan and match goer, currently just occasional. New music. Cider bore. Probably a left(ish) world view.

Cool

Depressing how on the mark this is.

I honestly think I bear the scars of Fabian Barthez to this day. So anything that’s not a β€œlook at me I’m a right maverick” is alright by me as a keeper trait.

Solid is fine by me for a keeper.

So many changes. It just looks like over-thinking to me.

dalot at lwb, please lord spare us. don’t understand why he wouldn’t and hasn’t played amad on the other side

Always something new. I didn’t know about Eric’s beef with that keeper until now. French teammates I guess? Training bust up or someat?

04.10.2025 13:41 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Cunha one? Is Dorgu the other? Agree with all the rest of what you say unfortunately.

04.10.2025 13:09 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

In fairness I’m giving Cunha a byball - whatever the stats say he’s clearly desperate for a goal and he’s new in, on a big money transfer. Don’t mind a bit of greediness or a few mad strikes from distance in that context.

Really good this, thanks for the share. So the key to this system is wing backs…but both of United’s WBs have obvious limitations. Dalot is honest and is technically good, but his situational sense is awful and will never improve. Feels mad to stake your success on those players surely.

03.10.2025 12:35 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah the more it’s explained to me the less I understand. But aren’t the chances supposed to be weighted, as you say?

03.10.2025 12:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Ha yeah mine too.

I don’t see any lack of effort from the players in Amorim’s team. To my eyes they all put a shift in. He’s improved United there in fairness to him. The whole team looks noticeably fitter too. At least to me.

I don’t hate it. Wilcox and Berrada and Ashworth felt like a lot of chiefs. Suspect it was a power struggle and Ashworth lost, rather than a competency thing. But who knows?

03.10.2025 07:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That Dan Ashworth debacle looks stranger with every passing week.

It’s 7 games though.

Good point. People that chatter about seeing the impact of climate change with the own eyes: gardeners, golfers, those that regularly holiday in southern Europe. Any shy Tories likely to be in those cohorts?

Lampard? You’re winding yeah?

He’s hinted that taking Ronaldo back wasn’t actually his decision, hasn’t he? Not sure I’d want him back though, happier with the memories. The lockdown football was so good mind.

The table on the left should be presented the other way up, to be fair. But even being a comparator to Kean’s Blackburn side really is bad.

The handball ruleset is a total mess. I think the heart of the problem is the unnatural position bit - it’s never made sense from a playing perspective. The ex pros started the rot with β€œcouldn’t get his arm out the way” to me that doesn’t matter if your arm stopped the ball otherwise going in.

I’m a heavy 6music listener. The weekend news has a distinctly different editorial angle than weekday. You aren’t imagining that. In radio news production, the early Monday news is often prepped by the weekend staff.

I read it that way too.

27.09.2025 16:47 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The squad is much better. Amorim hasn’t had the injuries EtH had either, especially in defence. I’m not a modern tactics expert but I know as a CB all my playing days that changing partnerships without need is madness.

27.09.2025 14:19 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah. Only De Ligt played well, the single bright point of this season so far.

27.09.2025 14:04 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I don’t think United will beat Sunderland by the way. I see no reason why they will.

27.09.2025 14:03 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah agree.

27.09.2025 14:01 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Really poor. De Ligt played well again but that was it wasn’t it? Did Sesko actually get a touch of the ball in the whole second halve?

27.09.2025 13:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I meant on the pitch at the time. Any of those have / would improve this today.
