Yeah they did. Probably a bit of timing too as you say. Though I read Knox’s book and I’d certainly not want to have played for him. Fergie and Knox at Aberdeen though: arguably as successful a managerial 1-2 as we’ll ever see.
Often wondered that myself. Amazing how many primary managers (Fergie as much as as anyone) break successful 1-2 partnerships. I guess it’s less impactful these days - coaching teams are massive, so not as dependent on long term marriages like Clough/Taylor or Fergie/Knox for eg.

The clubs will pretend to want it for working the TV companies’ negotiations every cycle. But they don’t really. It is a career-wrecking undertaking to monetise and protect your own content directly. No CEO wants that at that their feet. Nor do fans. Sky is expensive but their ‘product’ is good.

I actually thought he was poor tonight (and I’m a fan of his). He’ll be good, it’s just a bit of rashness because he’s so young. All the other bits are there and tonight will make him better.

Agree, great point. I have spent 1/2 a career dealing with the concept of zombie and orphaned code and its impact [upon live broadcast media] out in the web and apps. And here we are again. The same mistakes, the same recklessness, as if CPU was only invented in 2020.
And by the same token, some advice from an old colleague re social media. If you wouldn’t share “something you’ve read on Facebook” in the pub with your friends f2f because it would make you sound whacky, don’t share that on your socials either.
