Pokémon Pokopia is finally out and with it being a flagship Nintendo game it is actually quite accessible, so let us highligh it! 🌱
Here is a list over all the accessibility settings in the game at launch ❤️
Video Game PR folks, if any of your developer clients are working on video games with accessibility considerations for disabled players, reach out to me at LauraKBuzzOfficial@Gmail.com
I'm in the midst of booking games for this year's AA Summer Showcase. Now's the time to get in touch.
Last, but not least, you can adjust the volume of the background music, sound effects and Pokémon cries individually!
This is a huge win for any Deaf/HOH gamers or others that struggle with differentiate sounds in game.
And that was it ❤️ Thanks for reading, and enjoy Pokopia!
You also somewhat have control over you FOV by changing the camera distance from close, to normal, to far.
I found this to be useful, but I do miss the possibility to change the UI/HUD size.
For gamers that get easily motion sick there is a bunch of new improvements.
The camera can be switched to regular/inverted both for Vertical and Horizontal movement.
You can also change the camera speed, auto adjust and auto follow, giving you all the control you need!
All the buttons in the game can be changed in game, so you do not need to go into the Nintendo Switch 2 own system setting to change anything. This is a huge improvement and win for Nintendo!
The button remapping can be changed independently for main controls and for inventory controls 🎮
You can choose to have any Radial Menu / Wheel Menu to automatically close when releasing the button, or to have it stay on screen until you confirm by pressing A.
Mouse mode (using the Joy-Con 2 controllers as a mouse) can be turned on/off 🐭
All the settings are nicely explained at the lower part of the screen, making them easy to understand!
Text speed can be set from slow to fast, and all text need to be click through to continue.
You can turn on/off control rumble.
You can also switch between B/R being the button to run/jump ✨

Accessible games!? Yes please!
Do anyone I know have experience with TENS machine and stomach pain? Tips and tricks on how to best use it ❤️
I'm in need of more help handling my ongoing pain, and got recommended trying a TENS machine, so why not give it a try. Anything that might help at this point.
I don't often get this angry, but I legit am in so much pain, and just trying to survive. I struggle eating, sleeping, working, and my doctors are also worried.
Seriously my health are threefold more important to me than anyone get a colab for a video on Tiktok 😅
but if you randomly email me and demand work from me (without pay, it is ALWAYS without wanting to pay), and get pissy I don't answer in what you feel is a normal timeframe; get lost!
My disability are at the moment disabiling me, I'm trying to just survive, so sit the fuck down and get a grip on reality!
I'm all about being apologetic towards people I already work with, that this is an inconvenience for ❤️
Jobs that is not making me more ill ❤️
99% of everyone I'm talking to are so understanding and helpful (you guys are the best), but I need the 1% that get frustrated, angry and mean to me to legit GET A GRIP.
I got someone being a bit angry at me for not being on top of my emails lately, so I'm putting this out there again; I'm extremely ill at the moment, and the doctors belive I might have Crohns.
I have stopped streaming, stopped doing free accessibility work, and are only doing small
If you are in Comms/Marketing and heading to GDC Festival of Gaming
Jessica Roache from Ubisoft and I will be hosting a fireside chat on how to incorporate accessibility into your marketing to help players and internal teams as well!
schedule.gdconf.com/...
Ignore Steve saying it's for "comms/marketing", this talk will undoubtedly be useful for anyone in development. We need folks across the business to understand the benefits and be able to discuss them with stakeholders at every level.
Listen to Steve on the rest, just, uh, not that bit. 😅💖
I baked a bit too close to the sun today, my Kenwood mixer almost started burning 😬
Happy Fastelavn everyone 😅
Fullt program her: youtu.be/ifSvwoBv_T4?...
@santamonicastudio.bsky.social love the accessibility in God of War: Ghost of Sparta, but spme things might have been missed during development 😅
Do I know anyone at PlayStation or Ubisoft that has a code for Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition for me? I want to make a video about the updated accessibility, but my regular contact is away ❤️
I can't WAIT to play it! I cried so much when Tomba remake came out, as I could FINALLY play it again due to the new accessibility, and since it is now on a console with accessibility controls!
Rayman and accessibility in the same sentence is music in my ears ❤️
