There was a time, before and around the turn of the century, when technology served us. Now it's the other way round. We serve technology, or more accurately we are cash cows for billionaire owners.

The parallels between "1984" and today are scary. Rewriting of history, telescreens ("Truth Social" X etc), doublespeak and in particular Newspeak, language dumbed down for the masses, condensed into easily digested slogans.
