Cool news:

The outdated Bloomingdale Library on W. 100th St. is proposed to be knocked down, replaced by a new building with 850 units, including affordable apartments, and a brand new library at its base. A win-win.

We need creative plans like this all over NYC.

Two weeks ago heavy rain in NYC caused flooding in the subway.

Today temps in the high 90s caused a power failure at a major station, leaving 8 lines fully or partially shut down.

This is not sustainable. We need to invest in a subway system that can function in this new world of extreme weather.

Power loss at W.4th St has caused major subway outages.

NYPD Officer Didarul Islam was 36 years old. He was an immigrant from Bangladesh.
