Today I'm thinking about burning hair that smells of foul toast, bad office coffee, index cards, gritty toothpaste at the dentist, hot hot humid summers, artificial flowers, Polaroids, clinical strength deodorant that still doesn't stop anxious sweat, the inexorable continuance of time, and gin.

Every time I work in-office I send my mom a fit check, and if I don’t, she will text me “OOTD?” and if I don’t send a pic including my shoes she’ll say “shoes?” and so this has been going on for over three years. Here’s today!

Just finished Claudia Dey's novel, Daughter, and damn. Really enjoyed.

If you need your daily dose of heartbreak this is a great place to get it. Sarah is one of my most favourite writers and this story aches of the melancholic/nostalgic/poetic voice I’ve come to associate with her writing. Well worth the read. Also, who doesn’t love paint colour swatches? 🧡💜💚🩵🩶💙🩷💛
