126. Roofman

Pitched as a fun crime romp in a Toys R Us but actually a surprisingly dramatic and charming piece where reality hits hard. Tatum and Dunst's chemistry is crazy good, there's a rich balance of comedy and drama and amazingly feels like a film from the 90s or 2000s. Pleasently surprised.

Potential Game of the Year. I ADORE the Telltale games and have missed them dearly, luckily Dispatch is that beautiful feeling recaptured and so much more. Wonderful characters, rich themes, engaging plot, tough choices AND actual proper fun gameplay! I need a second season yesterday.

124. Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2

I don't put replays/rewatches here but it's a new bundle so why not. Super Mario Galaxy is still the greatest video game ever made and while I still feel 2 isn't as strong, I am kinder to it now. You can't shove lightning back in the bottle but it's a damn good try.

123. The Sarah Jane Adventures (Season 4)

Huh, Luke really is just gone now. That's bold. Luckily Clyde and Rani have become very strong leads. Also this show is starting to lose the "for kids" angle and just becoming closer to Doctor Who itself which I respect. A weak finale but a creative season.

122. Amphibia (Season 2)

Wow, what a shift! Huge increase in pacing and plot progression, that is even more engaging, and a greater focus on deeper, richer world building and character development. Still stupidly funny too, even more so. The finale is especially surprising, shocking even. Love it!

121. The Platform

A very fascinating idea that, for the most part, is well done but loses steam towards the end. It seems to present plenty of concepts but could do with exploring characters deeper and actually having an ending. I appreciate the social commentary though, well done in that regard.

120. Dr. Who And The Daleks

I mean, it's a 1 to 1 retelling of 'The Daleks' but with somehow slow pacing. It's a fun novelty though, Cushing has a fun presence but Roy Castle steals the show as Ian. It's interesting how spot on The Daleks are too. I'd rather just watch the Hartnell original.

119. Halloween

John Carpenter's directorial style is marvelous and carries this film. So many incredible creative descisions with the presentation elevates what could've been a potentially dated script and performances. The pacing really puts you on edge and I can see how it transformed the genre.

118. Blue Eye Samurai (Season 1)

Peak fiction. Stunning animation paired with super engaging writing with a plethora of fascianting characters, all of whom are wonderfully voiced. The fact it maintains that compelling momentum all the way through, flashbacks included, is commendable. Top tier TV.

117. The Sarah Jane Adventures (Season 3)

Very far from where we started with school slice of life shenanigans but becoming more creative and 'Doctor Who-Lite' is liberating and allows for more our of the box concepts and fleshing out the cast. Rani especially comes into her own here. Fun stuff!

116. Doctor Who: Dreamland

Boy, the animation is pretty terrible, isn't it? The art style is fine but this movement is rough. And ultimatly nothing amazing but David Tennant never phones in a performance, David Warner is a fun villain and the plot makes sense for a premise. Harmless filler.

115. The Amazing Digital Circus (Ep. 6)

Wow, incredible episode! Not only gut-bustingly funny (crazy how fresh the comedy in this show is) but does a fantastic job at the dramatic side too. Beautifully theraputic at times and the character writing is top notch. The climax hits hard and runs deep.

114. Peacemaker (Season 2 Ep. 8)

I get people wanted a big action climax with cameos, but Gunn always puts moving character drama and sincerity at the forefront so this is no different. Not the finale I expected or predicted but still heartwarming. Last week was the climax, this is the epilogue.

113. Amphibia (Season 1)

Wasn't too sure what to expect but found a stupidly funny and exceedingly charming show with a bold and dramatic finale that has me hooked. Really smooth animation and excellent voice acting tired to fresh and creative scripts make for a fun and comforting time.

112. Peacemaker (Season 2 Ep. 7)

Damn, this was a dark and sad one. Really shows how Gunn can really bring out the drama well, especially with John Cena KILLING it in the acting department. I felt that performance. Few jokes ruined the tone, very sincere and serious. Cannot wait for the finale!

111. Clarkson's Farm (Season 4)

Quite wise to shift focus from not just farming, but to pub owning too. Must be hard to realistic shake things up for television but they do just about get away with it. Still cozy and entertaining with a surprisingly bittersweet ending. Very much comfort watching.

110. Marvel Zombies

Was not a fan of the original 'What If' episode but this is a huge improvement. The pacing and dialogue feels much more natural and seeing so many fun characters bounce off each other never gets old, especially as a Phase 4 fan. Surprisngly creative too. I'd be up for more!

109. Peacemaker (Season 2 Ep. 6)

There it is! There's the payoff! The WHAM episode! Terrific reveal that recontextualises this season and does a great job of showing each of the main characters navigating it. Plus the excellent cameo that serves a purpose and not just a cheap trick. Best episode!

108. King of the Hill (Season 4)

There's such a sense of self-respect and pride in itself this show has that I truly respect. It never talks down or acts low to appeal to more people. It's wholesome and comforting. I'm also amazed how much variety they manage to squeeze out of this humble series.

107. The Amazing Digital Circus (Ep. 5)

BEST EPISODE SO FAR! Loved it! Stupidly funny while juggling all the main characters and diving into their backstories and nuances. Wonderful pacing too, really letting moments breathe and playing with tone without detracting from the show's intention.

106. The Amazing Digital Circus (Ep. 4)

They say that the sign of good characters is that you can watch them do anything and it's still entertaining. This is proof. Such a toned down concept serves for fun character dissection with the spotlight on Gangle now. This one is just a fun, chill vibe.

105. The Amazing Digital Circus (Ep. 3)

Did not expect such a nuanced dive into Kinger of all people. Nor that ACTUALLY scary imagery in such a goofy concept. It's wise to shift the spotlight to different characters with each episode. Truly shows that this is a fun ensemble of characters.

What can I say? Nightmarish, topical, depressing, bold, creative, biting. This is that Russell T. Davies magic. The seralised format suits the show better and everyone is on top form. Legit haunting stuff that stays with you. Peak Television.
