Of course, that was decades ago!

Lois Lowry's, "The Giver" is a most thought-provoking, and wonderful read. A movie followed this one too, if I'm not mistaken.

The sacred and the numinous need not be for invisible, or impossible entities. The living world that produced us will reabsorb us once we have completed our life cycle. To offer it anything less than reverence and awe is a disservice to it, and to ourselves.
