Turtle Frog (Myobatrachus gouldii)

After several failed attempts, we finally found a Turtle Frog (Myobatrachus gouldii). Endemic to SW Australia, they only emerge a few nights a year to find mates.

we had a lovely second Summer in September and early October....the weather has now turned and the Yellow-rumped Warbler and White-throated Sparrow will be heading to warmer places soon...I will miss all my Summer friends and wish them well on their long journeys☺️

They usually eat them right away....they probably don't trust the Jays and Squirrels enough to try and hide them😂
