i’ve made it home nominally alive from Granite Noir, & it’s by far the biggest event i’ve done. i feel so privileged to get to do this & to talk to people about books & meet so many readers/writers/organisers!

someone should invent a sofa i can reach the floor on, though 😂

do you know what would help!!!!!!!! living in a society that lets people experiment with their gender without treating it like the most important thing in the world!!!!!!! letting people get it right or wrong without politicising their decisions!!!!!!! just being chilled about gender!!!!!! aaahhhhhh

I'm not a party person. I just want a fairer, kinder, greener world. I'm delighted to see how well the Greens are doing. But we also need a strong and sincere Labour Party, and it is an absolute tragedy to see how Keir Starmer and his moral bypass of a government have ruined it.

One of the most dangerous things I see come from self help and spirituality books.

They state, that the world isn’t the problem. Your thoughts of it are YOUR problem.

I find these books atrocious.

People are harshing on some “diverse reading challenge” thing that’s going around, and I get it, but looking at what you read and asking yourself “what isn’t represented here?” is imo a good and healthy practice

"I can't afford to support my favorite author right now, I—"

Reviews.

Reviews are free AND they are a gift to authors that can keep on giving (i.e., exposure, marketing, algo boosts, etc.)

Please, give the gift of reviews to your authors this holiday season. It really can make a difference!

from Nick Ferrari’s show on LBC. Hope all is well
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15339433/cricket-one-legged-father-pay-36000-benefits-filmed.html
Would you be available at 08:35 this morning to speak to Nick about whether the DWP should be taking away this man’s benefits
reply from me: No im not free for that. I would never be free for that. It’s just another example of how the press are demonising disabled peopleI’m headline from the daily mail reads Just not cricket! One-legged father is ordered to pay £36,000 of benefits back after being filmed playing the sport

Need you all to understand how utterly exhausting it is for disabled people (especially those of us with any public profile) to exist online rn.

A girl in a white dress stands in a pond surrounded by reeds. She is against a backdrop of trees and gothic architecture. The book is These Mortal Bodies by Elspeth Wilson and the font is bright green.

She's getting a new look! Absolutely delighted to reveal the paperback cover of my debut novel, These Mortal Bodies, which I am absolutely *obsessed* with 💚🖤! It captures the murkiness of sisterhood, the watery vibes and gothic atmosphere absolutely perfectly. Term commences 26/2/26 🎓 #booksky
