MARGARET BRENNAN: Understood. We'll talk to Hakeem Jeffries later in the program. I want to ask you about what the President just announced in regard to Canada. Today, the President said he wants to raise tariffs on Mexico. Yesterday, he said he's going to raise tariffs on Canada by 10%. He blames what he called a fraudulent ad that featured Ronald Reagan advocate- advocating for free trade. It was put up by the province of Ontario. Is this ad really the issue here, or is it just a tactic in this negotiation? Does the President want the USMCA free trade deal renegotiated, or is he looking to do two separate deals, one with Canada, one with Mexico?

Dear CBS News personalities: The Canadians' ad did not portray Reagan's tariff policy fraudulently, and you do not have to repeat the president's false characterization of it.

Or if your new boss insists that you do, you can at least point out that it's false.

Donald Trump just threw a late-night tantrum over an advertisement created by the Canadian province of Ontario, which featured Ronald Reagan’s REAL words expressing his dislike of tariffs. Trump says that, as a result, all trade negotiations with Canada are “HEREBY TERMINATED.”

This is chilling. And it doesn't exist anymore except on the Internet.

Voters should pick their representatives, not the other way around. Glad to get the chance to talk to some of the volunteers and organizers doing the hard work to make sure Prop 50 passes. This vote will have critical implications, not just for California, but for our entire country.
