Nova, irl, really cares about people and the character is really just her as she is but more fantastical. It's an accurate reflection of her sexuality and sadistic interests AND her values and personality. Our art holds those in dialectic and uses fantasy to explore that.

the means by which it is acted out is fantastical, it's an artistic expression of our sexuality, but the art is made to adequately capture a real *metaphorical* image of what we value both in terms of ethical sex/consent and the erotic, with vore acting as a great way to show intimacy AND sadism

When I apply that less literal framework I posted about previously to Nova and our art it looks like this-- We both enjoy vore and a lil sadism, but we care about people ofc and since nova is my alter, I wanna capture that. So we portray a fantasy where the characters act out the sadism consensually

You have to engage with the art on its own terms, look at it beyond just a literal interpretation, both in realism and in morality. Really, guys, literalism is a plague, and if you're going to enjoy fantasy you need to learn to see beyond the literal.

as fantasies. Really, just don't be so literal about it all! Don't be literal about morals in sadistic fantasy, that's not what the art is trying to talk about. Similarly don't be so literal about what "would actually happen" in cuddly soft vore.

Some fantasies, like the ones I depict, are fantastical in setting, but the characters are actually just normal people enjoying kinks without hurting anyone, doing CNC. Others are characters hurting each other in a fantastical setting. And there exists everything in between. All of them are valid

we need to make room for cathartic fantasies of all types. There's different levels of fantasy going on here, and it would behoove us to realize that and take it less literally from both angles here.

I like to portray my characters as *acting* sadistic but with CNC to show this nuance, but there is nothing inherently wrong with having fucked up vore or sadism in your work, even if it doesn't have safe words or consent because it's just fantasy.
