it's 2016: north carolina introduces a bill to ban trans people from using bathrooms safely. there's a national outcry; companies withdraw business up to and including the NCAA cancelling a publicized game. the bill fails.
it's 2026: kansas passes a law nullifying trans people's licenses. crickets.

This. The right has been livestreaming their intentions forever. FRC’s Meg Kilgannon, now at US Dept of Ed, outlined the strategy of attacking top surgery as a way of delegitimizing trans people and “dividing the T from LGB”, back in 2017 at the Values Voter Summit to thousands, including lawmakers.

Meanwhile what drives me absolutely fucking insane is that I have been described as a "conspiracy theorist" for stating that the entire anti-trans moral panic was a psyop, when they had a public summit in which the principal actors explicitly said "we're going to start an anti-trans moral panic."
