That doesn’t bode well for us! We tend to book last minute but maybe things will settle down, people will go abroad after all and there will be some cancellations 🤞

You’ve got a lovely garden 😊

Maybe. I think ours have lots of options in neighbouring gardens and the local hedges and fields so probably don’t bother with our garden

So no wonder you have so many birds!

We’ve lots of places for nesting birds and I’ve not really cut anything back yet. I think it’s just I haven’t spotted where the nests are except for the house sparrows who live in the forsythia bush. Your photo the other day made your garden look like an oasis in an area of very dull grass gardens

Luckily the only trip we have to book is my cathedral weekend with choir. It’s in Bristol and we were already talking about commuting daily because it’s so close and Bristol hotels are so expensive

I was thinking that largest doesn’t necessarily equate with most difficult to expel from a bookshop 🤔

I’m in awe of your garden birds and also your ability to spot their nests!

A pair of feet, clad in socks that are both labelled L for left. From which we can deduce that this man has two left feet.

That reminds me of this photo…

I expect they all have a good look at what other councils charge, plus there’s a limited number of waste contractors who probably submit the same costs to lots of councils

I’m sure we started at about £25 for 25 collections, around 15 years ago. I know inflation has been high but not that high, surely?!

Hope you feel better soon. I use nasal spray for hayfever and it’s amazing

Given that over winter we don’t really use it your £66 for 20 collections sounds like a good deal

£70 for 25 collections here 😔

Oh no! I hope you get sorted out soon. Our plumber is a law unto himself and hard to pin down but he lives just across the valley from us, so we’re never too far out of his way

Ok I laughed. And then thought how awful that would be 🤦‍♀️
