It’s now half a year later and Timothy Snyder is doing exactly what the author of the article demands: fighting for the much more vulnerable.
Be assured that I too don’t like Snyder as a person. And keep in mind that we’re still in the first year of the Trump regime.
It could mean that he might see even further ahead. It could mean that it's not about "a better teaching gig" but about making sure to be safe when push comes to shove. That was my first thought when I heard about his and his wife's move to Canada. I'm writing from Germany.
