Are there any Christians in the US? Whatever religion is professed it doesn’t seem to bear much resemblance to Christianity. I know Bloom’s the American Religion has been criticised but I think his thesis is convincing.

Imagine the goodwill Britain can generate from the world if we would only loan some items back to countries of origin for display and study by locals. Imagine the contexts they would discover, new histories that could be written. Britain's image would change instantly and would be respected again.

The academic community has moved to BlueSky en masse.
It's interesting to see which politicians and journalists have joined them, interested in evidence-based decision making rather than being driven by ideology & donors.

This pitiful forelock-tugging across our society is getting worse, not better. Our newspapers these days invariably side with the rich against the poor, the strong against the weak. I’ve seen stories that are 100% accurate taken down from online because someone powerful has complained.

I was getting my son ready for school at 6am, and got hooked to this paper!

Definitely a nice read with refreshing ideas and recommendations.

A couple of quick reflections:

1/ the paper criticizes a-theorerical approaches to barrier-enabler assessment in #impsci. However, it never mentioned...🧡
