Roof slates with nail holes: we left many in the garden of the home that we left after 52 years. They made perfect head stones for small furriest!
Florrie and cousin Brian visit Teesmouth.
Trinity House lighthouse tender vessel. A rare visitor to the Tees.
I love finding bricks wherever I visit. Our coastline throws up some really interesting ones. This hexagonal block was once part of a pair. Whoever managed to disconnect them? so tough to break apart.
That's a brilliant one.
Oops, forgot to post photo...
Me too! This is the one that I brought home, I hadn't seen square holes before either! It's unusual to find Scoria, usually it gets re used by local councils/landscapers for decorative purposes.
A small display of the interesting bricks at Steetley Pier, havn't seen one with hexagon holes before. Quite a few of the blue/grey Scoria blocks too!
Steetley Peir, interesting bricks and scoria blocks exposed due to loss of sand.
Steetley Pier.
Thank you Paul.
Absolutely delightful.
Brilliant...
A treasure and a pleasure, gorgeous boy...
There was once a Clarkes children's shoe advert - words to the effect of "A Right Little Madam".
Wow, Florrie and Brian could have been introduced to Midge...
Reading the lovely tributes at Stubborn Dog Stack.
It's beautiful, spotted it this a.m. didn't realise it was brand new. The weather was so mild, a pleasure to be out and about...
Large tractor tracks, walking in the gouge of the base being dragged along. Sorry don't know how to turn photos!
Thank you, they have all been enchanting...
No.5 Tees channel buoy, lantern has been removed.
Florries Dad used to maintain them.
Looks like a channel buoy.
😂🤗
Thank you, an enchanting read.
